Joining the staff
Auchengillan is a very large and popular outdoor centre operating on an all-year-round basis. Our activity programme is especially busy during the summer months and at weekends.
Important note: We take our responsibilities for the safety and wellbeing of young people very seriously. All applicants for the staff team, voluntary and paid, are thoroughly vetted by interview, independent references and other independent checks. In addition, suitability for work with young people is kept under constant review. All members of staff, whether paid or voluntary will require to undergo vetting via Disclosure Scotland before they can work unsupervised with young people.

Voluntary Service Team - We greatly value the contribution made by the members of our voluntary service team. We are always looking for additional help from people with a wide spectrum of practical skills who are reliable, enthusiastic and flexible.
Project Scotland - We offer year long placements through our partners at Project Scotland. Our projects usually begin in September and March. Please contact the Centre for further details.
