Pioneering

Pioneering provides a great opportunity to develop group work skills using the whole group's powers of initiative and imagination.

However certain basic skills, particularly knots and lashings, are essential to the safe conduct of pioneering projects, such as rope bridges and towers. Instructors are not normally provided with this activity.

Whatever project you choose to do while at Auchengillan, we will do our best to provide the basic materials for the job - what you achieve with them is down to your own skills and flair.
