Auchengillan
is an ideal venue for a day visit whether it be for activities, a summer
barbeque or simply as an introduction to
' The
Great Outdoors'.
All of the facilities and activities available to campers and other residents at Auchengillan are also available to day visitors. However, where the demand for on-site activities provided by us exceeds the number of sessions available it is sometimes necessary to limit the choice of activities offered to day visitors.
A special all-inclusive package is available for school parties midweek, please contact us for details.
In the event of inclement weather use can usually be made of the wet weather barn located near the camp centre but it should be remembered that, if exclusive use is sought the appropriate hire charge is payable. Please check with the Warden about this.
If large numbers of motor vehicles require to be parked in connection with a day visit arrangements should be made in advance with the Warden as priority has to be given to resident parties.
With sufficient advance planning, including liaison with the Warden in connection with your group's specific requirements, a day visit can be a most enjoyable and successful occasion for parents, friends, leaders and young people alike.
Please remember that, in the interests of the safety of, and example to young people, alcohol is not permitted in the grounds of Auchengillan.
